Start with MVP
Always-on gaming PC + voice + lights + golf sim + bar

Turn the man cave into an AI command center.

The room already has the hard parts: Govee lights, a 4K projector, GSPro golf sim, Square launch monitor, bar, Golden Tee, and a gaming PC that can run 24/7. The idea is to make the whole space feel alive — a voice-controlled host, hype man, scoreboard, bartender, golf caddie, lighting director, and garage-style AI concierge all running locally-ish from the PC.

Room Idea Board

Stuff that would make the room feel unreal.

Think less “smart home dashboard” and more “the room has a personality.” Every mode should change lighting, audio, screen content, and the agent’s voice.

Voice🎙️

The Cave Host

An always-listening room persona that welcomes guests, starts modes, explains games, runs timers, answers random questions, and controls the vibe.

Example: “Hey Cave, we’ve got people coming over.” → lights warm up, projector shows a welcome loop, music starts, bar menu appears.

Golf🏌️

AI Golf Caddie

A sidekick for GSPro nights: club suggestions, match commentary, longest drive callouts, closest-to-pin hype, and friendly trash talk.

Stretch goal: read exported shot data or screen events, then announce “Parker just nuked one 287 down the middle.”

Lighting💡

Govee Mood Engine

Custom modes for Golf Night, Arcade Mode, Bar Chill, Movie Mode, Victory Lap, Rage Quit, Last Call, and Cleanup.

Best effect: lights react to voice commands, big golf shots, Golden Tee wins, or a guest walking in.

Bar🥃

AI Bartender Board

A projector or small display mode that shows house drinks, ingredient inventory, guest favorites, and “what can I make with this?” recipes.

Voice: “What can I make with bourbon and Sprite?” → agent suggests 2–3 options and puts recipe cards on-screen.

Arcade🕹️

Golden Tee Commissioner

A league-night layer around the arcade: player profiles, trash-talk intros, leaderboard graphics, handicaps, and weekly challenges.

Example challenge: “Closest approach on hole 7 wins naming rights to next week’s drink special.”

Memory🧠

Guest Memory

Let the agent remember regulars: preferred drinks, favorite golf courses, Golden Tee rivalries, nicknames, birthdays, and inside jokes.

Keep it fun, not creepy: let guests opt in with a QR profile or voice confirmation.

The Room Brain

One always-on PC becomes the AI control tower.

The gaming PC can run the voice loop, local services, simple automations, dashboards, and connectors to Govee, audio, GSPro-adjacent data, browser overlays, and phone controls.

Input Layer

Microphone / wake word, Stream Deck buttons, QR code web remote, NFC tags at the bar, and optional camera presence detection.

Agent Layer

A local Node/Python service that routes commands: room modes, Q&A, drink suggestions, scoreboard updates, golf commentary, and reminders.

Action Layer

Govee scenes, projector/browser overlays, text-to-speech announcements, music playlists, bar screen, LED celebration effects, and tournament leaderboards.

Memory Layer

SQLite or tiny local database for guests, drinks, room modes, scores, inside jokes, course preferences, and favorite commands.

Best First Build

Start with “Room Modes” before deep golf integrations.

The fastest wow-factor is a voice-controlled room mode system. It does not need to perfectly integrate with every device on day one. Make the room respond dramatically first, then add caddie intelligence and scoreboard features.

MVP Commands

“Start Golf Night”

“Turn on Bar Mode”

“Celebrate that shot”

“What should I make to drink?”

“Give the loser some trash talk”

01

Make room modes

Define 8–10 named modes with Govee colors, music/audio notes, screen content, and TTS intro lines.

02

Build local dashboard

A browser page on the gaming PC for mode buttons, active scoreboard, drink cards, and agent status.

03

Add voice + TTS

Wake word, command parser, personality prompts, and a fun voice that feels like the room host.

04

Layer in game data

Start manual, then add GSPro/score inputs, Golden Tee league data, guest profiles, and automatic highlights.
